Dona SEVENE

Performer of great virtuosity, committed, sensitive but also eclectic, the concert pianist Dona Sévène knows how to approach rich and varied musical universes and faithfully restore the spirit and intensity of each work. La Presse praises "a subtle and brilliant playing, a magnificent sense of nuances, colors", "a lyrical piano, a radiant charisma", qualities nourished by his training with Brigitte Engerer (CNSMDP), Sergio Perticaroli (Salzburg and Rome) and Paul Badura-Skoda.

 

Her career has been brilliant: 1st Prize for Piano and Chamber Music (unanimously with congratulations) from the CNSM in Paris, 1st Prize for Perfectionnement unanimously from Sta Cecilia in Rome, Lavoisier Scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, laureate of the Cziffra Foundation and numerous international competitions. She plays as a soloist and with orchestra in Berlin, Salzburg, Rome, Lausanne, Venice, Liège, Paris… Partner on stage of Pierre Amoyal, David Bismuth, Henri Demarquette, Julie Fuchs, she has also played in jazz with C. Bolling, L Mazetier, JL. Morning. This openness characterizes its commitments, such as the collective founding in 2021 of Electrum, 5tet, which merges jazz, electro and contemporary music.

 

Dona Sévène collaborates with many artistic fields: painting, contemporary art and theater, playing with Michaël Lonsdale, Lambert Wilson, Marie-Christine Barrault, Didier Sandre but also alongside the historian Franck Ferrand (Casino de Paris). She has written many thematic shows or shows linked to major exhibitions: De main en mains for 5 pianos and the actor Didier Sandre (Arena de Montpellier) Dufy (Le Havre), Picasso/Guernica (Grenier des Grands Augustins, Paris), Trois enfants du Siècle on Musset/Sand/Chopin, and in 2020 Louise de Vilmorin and Francis Poulenc (Maison de Chateaubriand). She has also performed since 2017 (Musée Marmottan, Banque de France, Festivals, Venice) the Princess and the Musician on Fauré and the Princess of Polignac.

Passionate about transmission and exchange, she created and directed for 10 years the Musique en la Jatterie festival in Sarthe, is also a vocal coach (Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Children's Choir of the Paris Opera) and piano teacher, CA holder.
